Learn from films: subtitles in two languages, new words in the dictionary panel
Play a film with subtitles in the language you are learning. New words appear in the dictionary panel, and you can keep the useful ones as flashcards. The player is free.
What the player does
- MP4, MKV and AVI files with SRT or ASS subtitles, also subtitles inside the file
- Subtitles in the language you learn, in your own language, or both at once
- New words from the subtitles listed in the dictionary panel
- Replay the current line, or jump line by line
- Save words and phrases as flashcards
Films in the language you are learning
Turn on subtitles in the original language. The dictionary panel lists the words you don't know yet, so you can check them without stopping to search. Mark the ones you know and keep the rest as flashcards.
Hear it and read it
Hearing a line while you read it links sound and spelling. Missed something? Replay the line. Lines you want to say yourself can become flashcards.
